  Constitution Bill Passes After Eventful State Opening of Parliament The State Opening of the Australian Parliament started with the throne speech delivered by the Governor General which happens at the start of every term to outline the Government’s agenda. Following this, Members of the House of Representatives moved from the Senate to the House to officially start their first House session of the term. AusDonutMan was elected Speaker of the House of Representatives succeeding CorporateHarold who moved to the front bench. Following this, samthebuildr123 was elected unopposed as Deputy Speaker after being nominated by the Leader of the Opposition, BobJHawke. Then parliament went to chaos as members on all sides of the chamber started interjecting. The Leader of the Opposition got ejected by the Speaker shortly following the repeated interjections by both Government and Opposition members. LNP Secures Majority Two Weeks After the Election.

  The Liberal National Party have secured a Majority in Parliament Word has just come in to the ANN that the Liberal National Party under incumbent Prime Minister Conorra has officially secured a 16th seat. This means that the party now governs in majority, whilst originally being elected into minority government. This comes from the former United Australia Member, AviatorBusicut, cedeing his seat to the LNP before leaving.  Previous to this, the UAP announced they would be rebranding to the National Party. Former UAP leader AviatorBusicut announced in the UAP server that they would be rebranding to the National Party, regardless of the fact that the current LNP composes of the merged Liberals and Nationals.   With the LNP securing its 16th seat, the composition of the house has changed dramatically. Constitutional Committee - The Proposed Referendums

  CONSTITUTIONAL COMMITTEE Earlier this week, the Constitutional Committee announced their proposed referendum on a number of issues. This referendum will be an AEC orientated vote, in which individuals will be offered a pamphlet and given the option to either vote yes or no. At this stage, no indication has been given as to if an individual votes yes or no on the entire list of proposed questions, or individually. The 7 Questions that the Constitutional Committee has compiled thus far are: 1. A preamble be inserted recognising Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders as the First Australians; 2. The Head of State, currently the Lord Protector, be renamed to King of Australia 3. The Head of State be AnthonyJAbbott at the commencement of these Amendments; 4. The Head of State’s representative, the Governor-General, be allowed to assume the responsibilities of the Senate in extreme circumstances; 5. The Parliamentary Term be extended to 3 months for the House of Representatives and 6 mont

ADF Reforms

 ADF REFORMS Most recently, the Australian Defence Force underwent a number of reforms, including the closing of the 5th Aviation Regiment as well as the opening of two special operations units, the 6th Aviation Regiment and the 2nd Commando Regiment. This comes with the appointment of a Special Operations Commander, Australia. Many individuals have questioned this new restructure. It has meant that the Australian Army now fields more special operations units then ordinary units. Troubles struck the regiment when its original regimental headquarters, including now Regimental Sergeant Major of the Army DestinyLeviathan, resigned from the regiment to join SASR. Now, only a month later the once largest and most active regiment of the ADF finally closed its doors. In its place, the 6th Aviation Regiment, under the command of former SASR RSM, has been introduced as one of two new Special Operations Command Regiments.
