ANN Exclusive | Transport Australia Lacking Support

 Written by Lawdoood

For about a month now, we have seen a massive decrease of activity in Transport Australia. It's quite a shame that the service is inactive because it was starting to look promising for the wider Australia community. Due to the fact that the transport department seems to be lacking in activity and leadership, we reached out to the Director of the service to gain some insight. His statement is as follows,

"With the new government coming in power, they have shown no support in the Dept of Transport. I couldn't even find their manifesto to see if they had plans or not. At the current time I am pulling things together and the department should back very soon without government support. However, for the department to thrive, it needs proper attention from the government. TA needs to evolve so it brings interest to more people, not just bus drivers, but to do this, we need a government that will actually allocate proper resources. The last government was a great step for TA, with buses being repaired and many problems being fixed (Big thank you to CorporateHarold). One of my Directors have told me that there is a new MoT, lets just hope they can do what we need." (NOT AN EXAMPLE OF ANN BELIEF'S AND THOUGHTS, BUT A SUBMITTED ENTRY FROM THE RELEVANT INTERVIEWEE)

Now this can be seen as quite a controversial topic for politicians, however it is fully factual and the service is in need of Government support, which you would presumably expect to be currently happening? It's a big downfall for the Department of Transport as when the election was ongoing at the voting centre there were many routes running for those who needed to vote and get home from the voting centre.

We hope that the Department of Transport and the Government are able to re-build their relationship to best help the service as a whole.
